Council nixes amendments in 6–0 vote, schedules joint meeting with ad‑hoc police oversight commission

The Santa Ana City Council voted uninamously on Tuesday to host a special joint meeting with the ad-hoc commitee, City Council, and Police Oversight Commission within the next 60 days regarding the changes to the Commission.

Councilmember Jessie Lopez was absent from tonight's meeting as Mayor Amezcua disclosed she was attending a training at Harvard University.

The vote also required all Councilmembers to meet with the Chief Rodriguez, Oversight Director Morse, the City Attorney’s office, and City Manager Nuñez.
