Kermes

A kermes is a food fundraiser typically hosted at the home by the family of the deceased to raise funds for funeral and/or burial expenses. Most kermeses feature Mexican delicacies such as tamales, menudo, pozole, tacos, agua frescas, but not all kermeses listed below will serve these. Each food item costs different amounts (or tickets). Those wanting to attend a kermes should have cash ready to purchase tickets. These tickets will be redeemed when ordering food.
